How much sugar?

This week in Science the children in First and Second Class investigated how sugar can damage our teeth. Using eggs to represent teeth, we soaked the eggs in different drinks. Over a few days we watched how the egg shell changed and noted the damage done by the different drinks. We were surprised by the amount of sugar in some of our favourite drinks! This experiment reminded us how important it is to keep our teeth clean!
